DuSable Museum

The DuSable Museum of African American History of Chicago is presenting the exhibition "381 Days. The Montgomery Bus Boycott Story" from February 3 to May 20, 2007. Photographs, quotes and historical text are combined in a multidimensional collage to convey the dynamism of the civil rights movement. In words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., "There comes a time when people get tired of being trampled over by the iron feet of oppression. There comes a time, my friends, when people get tired of being plunged acroos the abyss of humiliation [...] It's better to walk in dignity, than ride in humiliation."
